Ajax Superior DomeCam HLVF

Superior DomeCam HLVF is a motorised varifocal dome camera built for commercial sites that need sharp identification, strong low light performance, and robust protection against tampering. It comes in 4 megapixel and 8 megapixel versions, both using a 2.8 to 12 millimetre P Iris lens. The P Iris system keeps contrast and sharpness balanced automatically, so footage stays clear even as lighting shifts through the day.

The adjustable focal length lets you switch between wide coverage and tight detail without physically touching the camera. Hybrid illumination gives you colour recording at night. Infrared reaches up to 40 metres and white light reaches up to 25 metres, offering visibility and a deterrent effect when movement is detected.

The onboard AI delivers four times the processing power of previous Ajax cameras, helping it recognise people, vehicles, and pets with higher accuracy. Two microphones and a built in speaker support two way audio, and the camera can feed visual verification into automation scenarios or activate sirens and devices when detection rules are met.

JetSparrow, Ajax’s video transport technology, keeps both live streaming and archive playback smooth. Dual streams help with bandwidth control, and clips can be exported quickly when you need to pull footage for an incident.

Security is handled with multi layer protections. The camera uses passwordless mutual TLS authentication, TLS encrypted streams, secure clip export with digital signature checks, and user controlled access to recordings. All components are NDAA compliant.

You can add the camera to an Ajax system via QR code or integrate it with third party systems using ONVIF or RTSP. Alarm and audio inputs and outputs are built in for wider integration work. Motion zones, system health, and full configuration run through the Ajax apps.
