Ajax NVR H2D series

The NVR H2D series gives you a straightforward way to run recording for Ajax and third party IP cameras in small to mid sized commercial setups. The units support up to 16 channels depending on the model, and each recorder takes two hot swappable hard drives up to 16 terabytes each. That gives you enough storage for continuous archiving without needing to shut the system down for maintenance.

PoE versions let you power up to 16 cameras directly from the NVR, which keeps wiring simple on tighter jobs. Non PoE models use a Gigabit Ethernet interface, making them suited to sites where cameras sit on existing switches.

The system uses JetSparrow to deliver smooth live video and responsive archive playback. You get quick access to clips, a clean timeline, and fast navigation using search filters and calendar view. The built in video management system means you can run everything on a local monitor without relying on the cloud. You connect over 4K HDMI and use the USB ports for a mouse, keyboard, or flash drive.

Motion detection for supported cameras runs inside the NVR, and footage is recorded in H.265 or H.264 depending on the setup. You can mix Ajax cameras with third party ONVIF and RTSP models, and the NVR automatically searches the network for devices to add.

Security features include TLS encrypted streams, passwordless device authentication, account protection with biometrics and passcodes, and exclusive access to content stored on the drives. Exported clips are protected with digital signature verification to maintain integrity.

Installation is simple. Add the NVR to the Ajax system via QR code, fit it into a rack with the included brackets if needed, choose PoE or Ethernet depending on your layout, and set everything up in the Ajax apps. Health monitoring covers drive status, temperatures, and system state.
