Ajax Superior NVR H2D series

The Superior NVR H2D series brings AI powered video recording to Ajax cameras and third party IP cameras, giving you a flexible way to build or upgrade commercial CCTV setups. The units support up to 32 channels, with options for PoE or non PoE models depending on the network design. Each recorder holds two hot swappable hard drives up to 24 terabytes each, making the system suitable for continuous recording and long term retention.

Built in AI lets the NVR analyse video from both Ajax and third party cameras. That means older installations can gain people, vehicle, and pet recognition without replacing the cameras. The NVR can also run scenarios, trigger sirens, and send detection notifications across the Ajax system.

Local management is handled through the built in VMS. You can connect a monitor directly over 4K HDMI, plug in a mouse or keyboard via USB, and manage recordings completely offline if required. The interface supports a virtual video wall and slideshow mode for control rooms.

Remote management is available through the Ajax apps. JetSparrow streaming keeps live video smooth and archive playback responsive. You get fast navigation through recordings, high resolution visual verification linked to alarms, and synchronisation between system events and stored footage.

For resilience, the recorders offer two recording modes. Redundancy duplicates footage across both drives for full backup, while split mode writes alternate segments to each drive to balance load and maximise capacity.

Security is approached properly throughout. Streams are TLS encrypted, authentication is passwordless using mutual TLS, exported clips are signed for integrity, and user access is controlled with passcodes, biometrics, and two factor authentication. Hardware is NDAA compliant.

Installation is straightforward. PoE models power cameras directly, and non PoE models include dual Gigabit Ethernet for installations with external switches. You can add the NVR to an Ajax system via QR code, and the software automatically searches the local network for compatible cameras. All configuration and health monitoring run through the Ajax apps.
