The TAKEX MX-12FAM is a dual-zone outdoor PIR sensor offering wide-angle protection up to 12m x 180°. By requiring simultaneous activation of both horizontal and downward zones, the sensor reduces false alarms from animals, vehicles, and environmental movement, ensuring reliable outdoor detection.

Each side of the sensor can be independently adjusted between 2m and 12m, providing installers with flexibility to match site requirements. The MX-12FAM also supports dual alarm output configurations, allowing outputs to be set per 90° zone, combined across 180°, or used to trigger external devices such as CCTV.

For added protection, the MX-12FAM includes advanced anti-masking technology, front and back tamper switches, and improved area masks for custom coverage. Adjustable sensitivity and pulse count settings give further control in difficult outdoor environments.

As part of a professional installation, the MX-12FAM can integrate with wider security systems, including Ajax, for advanced perimeter and outdoor protection.
