Their range includes perimeter beams and PIRs, UV flame sensors for rapid fire detection in tough industrial environments, and vape detection to tackle the growing problem of vaping in schools and public spaces.
You’ll be fitting Japanese built hardware you can trust, giving your customers solutions that most other brands don’t even offer.
With no apps, licences, or ongoing fees, TAKEX delivers straightforward protection that works first time and keeps working.
Best of all, it integrates seamlessly with Ajax Systems.
TAKEX Flame Sensor
The TAKEX FS-1000E Flame Sensor is designed for fast and reliable flame detection in security and safety applications.
By detecting the ultraviolet rays contained in flames, it provides immediate alarm activation with both an internal sounder and an open collector output for integration with wider security systems.
For power, the FS-1000E can operate on two type-3 alkaline batteries, a long life lithium battery, or an external 9-30VDC supply, giving flexibility across different installation scenarios.
The sensor includes a built-in 80dB sounder, with the option to disable it when using external signalling devices such as sirens or bells. Compact in design, the FS-1000E is easy to install and maintain, with a detachable sensor unit and clear low battery indication via buzzer and LED.
For professional installations, the open collector output allows connection to a security control panel or to trigger warning devices. This makes the FS-1000E a strong choice for environments where early flame detection is critical, and it can be used to complement Ajax Systems when integrated via a control panel.
• High sensitivity ultraviolet flame sensor
• Detachable base unit with snap-in-out sensor design
• Built-in sounder
• NO/NC relay output
• Adjustable response time
• Battery (2x AA type-3 alkaline) or DC operation
Applications include:
• Gas cylinder storage
• School/University toilets
• Safeguarding storefronts
• Agriculture fuel & oil tanks
The TAKEX VS-1000E is a dedicated vape and smoke sensor designed to detect vaping and smoking in areas such as restrooms, schools, and public buildings. Using a high sensitivity particle sensor, it identifies airborne vapour or smoke and triggers an alarm.
The VS-1000E includes an internal buzzer for local notification and provides selectable alarm contact output (N.C./N.O.) for integration with wider security or building management systems. Multiple units can be interconnected via a dedicated terminal for larger coverage.
Installers can adjust sensitivity (standard or low) and choose between real-time or one shot alarm output modes depending on the application. The sensor includes a discreet design, tamper resistant cover, and self diagnosis function to monitor voltage or module failures.
Vape detection done differently:
• Lower upfront cost
• No annual licences or fees
• Monitor and protect without violating privacy
• Seamless integration
• 5 year worry free warranty
• Adjustable detection sensitivity (Standard/Low)
• Selectable alarm contact output (N.C./N.O.)
• Enable/disable LED indicator
• Dedicated terminal for interconnecting multiple units
• Quick-to-install screwless terminals
• Tamper resistant cover locking mechanism
• Suitable for ceiling or wall mounting
Applications include:
• Schools, Colleges and University toilets
• Hospital patient areas
• Public transport hubs and onboard
TAKEX devices connect smoothly into Ajax Systems using the Transmitter or MultiTransmitter modules.
For a single unit, like a vape detector or flame sensor, you can wire its alarm and tamper outputs into the Ajax Transmitter.
Once connected, the Ajax hub treats it like any other sensor - sending instant notifications to the app, desktop software, or monitoring station. The Transmitter can be tucked away in a discreet box above the area, keeping the install neat and hidden.
For larger coverage, multiple TAKEX sensors can be wired into a MultiTransmitter. With 18 wired zones, you can bring together vape detectors across multiple toilets in a school, or run several flame sensors and beams across a site, all reporting back through one Ajax device.
No extra software, no third-party apps - just clean integration that gives you and your customer one system to manage.
TAKEX Photoelectric Beam Sensors
The TAKEX sensor range provides reliable outdoor perimeter protection across short and long distances, with options from 20m up to 100m. Designed to perform in demanding environments, these sensors use advanced beam technology and modulation to maintain stability and reduce false alarms from light, weather, or wildlife.
Models in the series offer both wired and wireless ready options, with battery powered designs that remove the need for groundworks, making them ideal for both permanent and rapid deployment sites. Adjustable optical alignment and multiple beam frequencies give installers the flexibility to cover varied terrain or stack multiple beams without risk of interference.
Housed in weather sealed enclosures with features such as drip proof optics, anti-bird spikes, and lightning protection, the TAKEX range is built for dependable performance in the field. Whether for remote sites, hybrid systems, or large scale perimeter projects, these sensors integrate smoothly into wider security solutions while keeping installation and maintenance straightforward.
Infrared beams work as a simple pair: a transmitter and a receiver. As long as the receiver can see the transmitter, the system is clear. When something breaks the line, the alarm relay is triggered.
Choosing Beams
• Distance - model numbers reflect coverage in metres (e.g. PB-30TK covers 30m outdoors).
• Terrain - consider wildlife, mist, frost, and vegetation. Beams should run parallel to the ground.
• Number & height - one beam per zone is the minimum. Two or more can be installed at different heights to improve coverage and reduce nuisance alarms.
• Mounting - beams can be fixed to walls, poles, or hidden inside towers.
• Power - standard beams require power both ends, but battery and reflector models are available where cabling isn’t practical.
• Activation - beams act as a switch and can trigger alarms, sirens, lights, or integrate with wider security systems.
